Mary Allen joins Cedar Lake Residences as the Executive Director with more than 15 years of experience in leadership, compliance, and service coordination within the intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) field. A graduate of Indiana State University, Mary has built her career on advancing person-centered services and improving quality of care for individuals with disabilities. Her professional journey includes progressive leadership roles ranging from direct support to executive oversight, giving her a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within residential and community-based supports.

Most recently serving as the IDD Compliance Coordinator at Communicare, Inc., Mary oversaw regulatory compliance, quality improvement strategies, and service satisfaction measures, ensuring programs met state and federal standards. Her prior work at the University of Kentucky Human Development Institute as a Quality Administrator further reflects her expertise in Medicaid waiver programs, provider oversight, and systems improvement. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Mary has served as a City Commissioner for Woodland Hills, Kentucky, where she gained valuable governance and community engagement experience.

Throughout her career, Mary has demonstrated a strong commitment to enhancing the health, safety, and independence of individuals with disabilities. Her background in compliance, program development, and leadership makes her uniquely qualified to guide Cedar Lake Residences into its next chapter of growth and innovation. With her passion for person-centered services and proven ability to collaborate with teams, providers, and stakeholders, Mary is well-positioned to ensure Cedar Lake continues its mission of providing exceptional care and opportunities for individuals supported.
