Cedar Lake Enrichment Center

The Cedar Lake Enrichment Center (CLEC), an adult day program, provides a person- centered, structured environment for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. CLEC offers a choice of scheduled classes with curriculum designed to enhance the quality of life. Vocational training and community inclusion are offered as well. The Direct Support Professionals strive for all 75 individuals currently in attendance to gain independence and continually grow, with a goal to maintain a staff to client ratio of 1:4, occasionally reaching 1:5.

The program originated in 2002 at Cedar Lake Lodge, and then moved to a community facility located in LaGrange in November 2006. In July 2011, construction of the first half of the new building was complete, followed by another addition in May 2012 to accommodate the needs of the individuals, allowing for more opportunity in the future.’
