Don’t “Drop the Ball” on the Chance to Win $10,000

7th Annual Cedar Lake Golf Tournament to be Held June 19

Louisville, KY (June 19, 2017) – The 7th Annual Cedar Lake Golf Tournament, sponsored by Commonwealth Bank & Trust Company, will be held on Monday, June 19 from 11:00am-6:00pm at the Hurstbourne Country Club. In addition to the 4-person shamble, the event will include a helicopter golf ball drop, prizes, giveaways, and a cookout buffet. The cost is $500 per person, or $2,000 per foursome, and all proceeds benefit Cedar Lake – the region’s largest private non-profit care provider for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Call (502) 495-4942 or visit www.cedarlake.org for more information and to register.

The helicopter golf ball drop, sponsored by VanZandt, Emrich & Cary and Mr. Robert English, will give all Cedar Lake supporters and members of the local community the chance to participate, even if they don’t play golf. At 12:45 pm on Monday, June 19, up to 1,000 numbered golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter onto the driving range. Cash prizes will be awarded to the three balls closest to the hole for $300 each and $250 for the ball farthest from the hole.  If a golf ball is a hole-in-one and matches one of the 10 pre-selected balls (randomly selected by insurance provider Interactive Promotions), the winner will receive $10,000. If not a match, a cash prize of $500 will be awarded to the ball in the hole.

Golf balls are $25 each or 5 for $100, and all proceeds benefit Cedar Lake’s mission to provide unconditional love and a life of abundant possibilities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
