Cedar Lake Park Place in New Castle is celebrating an outstanding accomplishment: achieving a deficiency-free survey for the second year in a row. This achievement reflects the dedication, professionalism, and compassion of the staff who go above and beyond to provide high-quality care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Opened in October 2010, Park Place is a licensed Intermediate Care Facility and home to 16 individuals with severe intellectual and developmental disabilities. The facility emphasizes not only exceptional clinical care but also meaningful community involvement, helping residents develop relationships and connections within the larger community. Each resident enjoys a private room and access to 24-hour nursing care, occupational, speech, and physical therapy, as well as psychological and behavioral services.

Administrator Scott Stewart praised the team’s commitment, “Achieving a deficiency-free survey for the second consecutive year is a direct reflection of the heart and dedication our staff bring to their work every day. Their compassion and determination to go the extra mile ensure that the individuals we support not only receive the care they need but also the dignity, respect, and opportunities they deserve.”

This recognition underscores Cedar Lake Park Place’s mission of providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for those it serves—ensuring that every individual can live a life of meaning, connection, and possibility.
