Trusting CedarLake

CedarLake was built on the very important question – what will happen to my child when I can no longer care for them? We understand that trusting the care of your loved one to someone else can be daunting. We also recognize the importance of the work we do every day and the affect it has on the lives of the person we support and their family members. Because of this, Cedar Lake strives to provide the very best support and services to those we have been trusted to care for, as well as their family.

Caring Connections

Caring Connections, Cedar Lake’s family support group, is led by Cedar Lake mom, Pam Olmstead. The focus is to bring families together for the purpose of supporting each other and helping our residents; many of whom live on their own with little or no family support.

We welcome all parents, guardians, siblings, aunts, uncles and any other family member who want to make a difference in the life of a loved one. Those with a family member on the waiting list are also encouraged to join.

If you care about people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, if you think they deserve to have a life of abundant possibilities, then Caring Connections is the group for you. Please join us for healthy dialogue where we can share together, and learn from one another in a positive environment.

Our mission is to connect families and grow our circle of friends for the purpose of supporting each other and the mission of Cedar Lake while enhancing the lives of the people we support through service and advocacy.
