Cedar Lake

Changing Lives

The Cedar Lake community is an important part of our Cedar Lake family and as such, I wanted to personally tell you that Chris Stevenson, our President & CEO has resigned, After 10 years of enthusiastic and dedicated services to Cedar Lake, Chris has decided to leave to pursue new opportunities.

We are grateful for Chris’s contributions that helped Cedar Lake uphold its mission during the past decade. During his tenure, he was an avid cheerleader for the intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals and their families in Cedar Lake’s care.

The board of Directors has selected Cassandra Tembo, Tembo Servant Leaders, LLC, as the Interim CEO, effective immediately.  She is filled with passion and talent. Ms. Tembo previously worked at Cedar Lake as Chief Administrative Officer for six years overseeing finance, human resources and risk management. She was an integral part of the leadership team during her employment with Cedar Lake and is dedicated to our mission.  Cassandra has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations.  We look forward to a seamless transition and the impact that she will make within the organization.

The Board of Directors is confident in Cedar Lake’s leadership team and looks forward to working with them to not only continue the good work of Cedar Lake, but to grow and enhance it.
