Cedar Lake is pleased to announce Julie Torzewski as the new executive director of the Cedar Lake Foundation starting January 6. Julie joins us with a wealth of experience and a proven track record of excellence in nonprofit leadership and fundraising.
Julie’s most recent role was as the executive director of Down Syndrome of Louisville, where she significantly expanded service offerings and elevated fundraising efforts. Over her career, she has raised more than $20 million for regional nonprofits, including Down Syndrome of Louisville, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Metro United Way, Norton Children’s Hospital, and Baptist Health.
A Certified Fundraising Executive, Julie is a dynamic and charismatic leader with more than 20 years of experience in relationship development and strategic fundraising. Her ability to connect with key decision-makers, build trust, and inspire action has been central to her success. Her dedication to clear communication, exceptional customer service, and teamwork ensures that those she serves are always at the forefront of her efforts.
In her new role, Julie will lead the Cedar Lake Foundation in building relationships and securing funds to support Cedar Lake’s mission: to offer highly compassionate, capable care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they may experience a life of abundant possibilities.
