In last month’s newsletter I asked for gifts to help cover the costs of summer activities for people in our care. Several people responded to this and we are so grateful! If you didn’t get a chance to give, we have some other opportunities that will have a direct impact on the daily lives of those we serve.
When you are getting passes to Kentucky Kingdom for your children or grandchildren, will you consider purchasing extra for Cedar Lake? When you go to the zoo, or the movie theater or out for your favorite pizza, can you get a gift card for Cedar Lake? Maybe on your next trip to Costco you can pick up one of their value packs of restaurant gift cards? If you don’t know of a particular restaurant or activity, a VISA gift card is a great option too. We are on a mission to collect as many gift cards and passes as we can throughout the year to enable those in our care to enjoy the same activities our own families love.
This is a new campaign for us and one almost all of us can help with. Gift cards and passes to any and all local attractions will be appreciated. You can mail them to Kelsey Hamilton, Development & Events Coordinator, Cedar Lake Foundation, 9505 Williamsburg Plaza, Suite 200, Louisville, KY 40222. If it’s easier, you can make a donation online and designate it for activities.
Thank you. Thank you for loving the people in our care as much as we do. Thank you for gifts big and small that bring joy and enable the people at Cedar Lake to live full and enriched lives.
