Spiritual Life at Cedar Lake
At Cedar Lake, spiritual life is an essential part of the care we provide for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We believe that nurturing spiritual well-being enhances quality of life and increases joy and fulfillment. Through chapel services, prayer, and faith-based activities, individuals at Cedar Lake can explore their spirituality and feel supported in their beliefs. Cedar Lake integrates spiritual care into everyday life, offering hope, love, and a sense of community.
Spiritual life at Cedar Lake encompasses community, spiritual counseling, and resources. It is not about teaching a belief or doctrine, rather seeing people for the whole human they are and supporting the whole person and their unique needs.
Through spiritual life at Cedar Lake, people can understand their purpose and explore answers to how they fit in. When spiritual life is acknowledged and supported, people with disabilities thrive. This can have a positive impact on physical and emotional well-being.
here are ways individuals and churches can get involved through the Cedar Lake spiritual life program. Each week Cedar Lake Lodge and Cedar Lake Enrichment Center host spiritual life opportunities. Organizations can get involved in a variety of ways. Contact Tara Clark, Spiritual Life Director, at: tclark@cedarlake.org or by phone at (502) 443-2587
