Memorial Gifts

A monetary memorial gift is a meaningful way to honor someone special while supporting Cedar Lake’s ongoing mission. Your contribution directly impacts the lives of the people we serve — helping fund essential care, programs, and opportunities for residents to thrive.

You may choose to:

Include Cedar Lake in your loved one’s obituary or service program, inviting others to give in their memory. All memorial gifts are acknowledged with gratitude, and the family is notified of each gift (gift amounts remain confidential).
Make a one-time memorial donation in honor or memory of your loved one.
Establish a named memorial fund, creating an enduring tribute that supports a specific program or area of care.

To honor an individual we have cared for, each year at our Cedar Lake Stroll we will plant a bulb for those who have passed in the past year.

Memorial Trees (minimum $500 gift)

For those who made Cedar Lake their home, families may choose to plant a tree in their memory on our campus. These trees symbolize life, strength, and renewal, offering a lasting tribute that grows and flourishes year after year.

Memorial Benches

A memorial bench offers a beautiful and practical tribute — a place for others to sit, rest, and remember. Many families will cover the cost of a bench to honor their loved one. Benches may be placed in thoughtfully selected areas throughout our campus or near the Lodge, where residents and visitors can enjoy moments of peace.

Creating Your Memorial

If you would like to establish a memorial or make a monetary tribute or cover the cost of a physical gift in memory of your loved one, our team would be honored to assist you in selecting the most meaningful option. You can make a gift online, by mail, or through the Cedar Lake Foundation. Every memorial gift strengthens Cedar Lake’s ability to provide life-changing services and creates a lasting connection between donors and the people they support.
