Donor Spotlight – The Etscorn Foundation

Cedar Lake is grateful for the invaluable partnership with the Irvin F. and Alice S. Etscorn Charitable Foundation dating back to 1985 when Mrs. Alice Etscorn began giving to Cedar Lake Foundation.  Mrs. Etscorn had been a donor for many years when the relationship between Cedar Lake and the Etscorn family strengthened with a gift of $2,500 in 2010 to our “Advancing the Vision” campaign. This grant was a catalyst for many more years of funding to assist those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Philanthropy is the lifeblood of any nonprofit. For over 50 years, Cedar Lake has had a proven track record of success, growth and sustainability. This would not be possible without the bonds formed with foundations such as the Etscorn Charitable Foundation, whose mission is to serve their local community to make it a better place to live and thrive.

“My aunt believed in and appreciated the mission of Cedar Lake.  She would be very proud that her tradition has continued and that her legacy has served her community and Cedar Lake”, says Susan Blois, niece to Mrs. Alice “Sue” Etscorn.

We are profoundly grateful to the Etscorn Charitable Foundation for their faithful commitment to Cedar Lake and for their transformational grant of $25,000 in 2020. Cedar Lake will use this gift for general operating support, ensuring that those who call Cedar Lake home live their best lives possible.
